Maidstone Cemetery

Originally built in 1858, Maidstone Cemetery Chapel had been closed since 2006 following structural concerns identified through surveys. This project aimed to fully restore the listed building, allowing Maidstone Borough Council's Bereavement Services Team to bring the chapel back into use.

Malen Decorating was appointed to carry out the decorating works as part of the wider restoration, working within a sensitive heritage environment. Our team completed detailed surface preparation and high-quality finishes throughout the internal spaces, ensuring the final result respected the character of the original building while providing a clean and refreshed interior.

The works were delivered alongside extensive structural repairs, roof refurbishment, and internal upgrades, all contributing to the successful reopening of this historic chapel.
